Bonnie and Clyde (1967): a very well done movie. couple of complaints though (of course). i didn't feel like i grasped the extent of their crimes. they whizzed through the crimes and lives so fast that you never really understand what gave them so much notoriety. next is their little romance they had going. there was never any progression in the way they fall in love. it becomes so sporadic because one minute he doesn't seem to "like her that way" and the next they are getting down to it. and all of a sudden they love each other but so much time goes through the movie where they don't show much of anything. however, very good and worth seeing. classic movie with some good classic acting.
Zoolander (2001): finally an excellent comedy by these guys. there are so many one-liners and cameos that make this movie incredible. this is probably will farrell's best performance too next to his parody of the architect from matrix 2. the story is insane and i didn't even get tired of the constant barrage of retard jokes from any of the models. very much worth buying. plus, its got natalie portman in it which boosts the movie into perfection status.
speaking of good comedies, i saw napoleon dynamite again this weekend. its crazy because they moved the movie into the big theater now and it was still sold out for a matinee. it was still so amazing. this is truly the comedy of the year and everyone will love it. go see it! i'm also still dying to see garden state. only playing in SLC, so might have to wait on that one.
i have yet to see the effects of my sleep last night. i woke up just about every hour throughout the night and have no clue why. and when i would wake up, i'd be wide awake. don't get me wrong, i love checking out the clock and seeing i have 5 hours or 1 hour of sleep left, but to do this every hour got a little ridiculous. been sooo busy lately which is why i haven't been keeping up to date on here. school sucks sooo bad right now. more reading than i could ever dream about. i still don't even have my book for drugs and crime yet! speaking of, i have this idiot that's in the class with me named matt. i know him from past semesters and i'm sure we'll be hearing more about him as the semester goes on.
so because of immense amount of homework, i'm gonna have to cut back on sopranos to 1 a night instead of our usual 2 or 3 episodes. we attempted it for the first time last night and it sucked. just doesn't feel right watching only a single ep. i really love that show. the more i watch, the more i see myself in tony. or maybe what i could have become. i'm not saying i'd be a gangster and kill everyone, but more of his personality. by the way, i also see a lot of myself and kim in tony and carmela. now, for those speculators, this does not mean anything bad or should imply that i'm off with some russian chick and screaming at kim, or she is off dreaming of the painter. it just means what it means.
lynds and i got so lucky last night. we are taking legal research in the library and were so afraid that we'd get stuck with the she-devil professor jill. neither have actually taken her in the past, but there are enough stories going around to want to avoid her like the plague. so we are in class waiting, and sure enough she walks in. however a few minutes later, hugh rode walks in and takes over the class. so, rode is in, she-devil is out. i don't think i could have handled a class with her this semester.
so now i'm off to work on the worst class alive.
